Berlin, 12.12.2019: Benedikt Franke, one of the two co-founders of Helpling, Europe’s leading online marketplace for household services, is stepping aside from his role as CEO at the end of the year and moving to the Advisory Board. He will continue to advise the company as a shareholder. Co-founder Philip Huffmann will take over all responsibilities as the sole CEO.
Benedikt Franke and Philip Huffmann founded Helpling in March 2014. Today the company is active in 10 countries. Now six years since the founding, Benedikt Franke will devote himself to new tasks and challenges.
Helpling co-founder Benedikt Franke explains: “There is a lot of my heart and soul in Helpling – in recent years we have managed to bring transparency and structure to a completely dysfunctional market. I am very proud of where Helpling stands today and grateful for what we have achieved with the team. Today, we are not only profitable in all markets, but also offer our users a truly valuable service. I am very excited about the further development and will support the team to the best of my ability. At the same time, I am now looking forward to new challenges as well.“
Helpling co-founder Philip Huffmann adds: “Benedikt and I have been working together for ten years and will continue to do so in the future. In his role on the advisory board, Benedikt will continue to be involved in important decisions. In the past years, we have built a strong and experienced management team that has now taken over all operation areas overseen by Benedikt. I am very excited about what is ahead of us in 2020, we have a lot of plans to bring even more value to thousands of households.“
Helpling will continue to focus on strong growth in the coming year and is also planning to expand its range of services to include other household services. These are currently available in selected markets and have been very well received there.
Helpling is Europe’s leading online marketplace for home services. On the website or via app, customers can book a vetted and insured cleaner and gain back free time within a couple of clicks. In addition, the Helpling platform provides other household services, such as dog sitting, gardening or furniture assembling.
