Yes, please provide the cleaning supplies needed and make sure all utensils are in working order for a good cleaning result. After the first cleaning, please also feel free to ask your housekeeper if any other materials are needed.

Please make sure that your home help has access to your house or apartment on the agreed date. We recommend that you greet your home help in person before the first appointment. This way, you can give them a tour of your home and discuss your tips and requests together. Alternatively, you can contact the domestic help via chat to coordinate a possible key handover in advance (e.g. leave it with a neighbor).

Yes. You don’t have to worry in the unlikely event of damage. The Helpling platform maintains a liability insurance with a coverage of 5,000,000 euros, where each domestic helper is co-insured in case of damage to property of their respective client. If the client claims damage due to the activities of the domestic help, Helpling reports the damage to the liability insurance. This covers damages from 25 euros.

For damages below 25 euros and for the first 25 of a larger damage, you can of course always contact the domestic help directly and agree with her on an appropriate compensation. You will find the contact details of your budget aid in the confirmation email you received before the appointment.

Please note: The decision about the settlement of a claim is only made by the liability insurance. Helpling has no influence on this.
